Spanish school training courses in Evansville, IN (public, in-house or online)

This program is designed to train students and employees in the health sciences field to communicate professionally and effectively with Spanish-speaking patients. Students will learn basic reading and writing skills, although emphasis is placed on oral and aural skills development. The course content will enable the student to facilitate routine medical office procedures for the Spanish-speaking patient.

Spanish courses are taught by faculty in the Department of Foreign Languages. All courses are taught in the target language unless otherwise noted. Prerequisite: Completion of 212 for all 300-level courses or above.

The On-line Master’s Program in Spanish is designed for students interested in pursuing a Master’s degree in Spanish that may not be able to do so in an on-campus environment due to jobs and/or distance (in other parts of the US or Internationally). It is particularly suited for those that have a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish or other language professionals.

All courses are designed for approximately 16 hours of instruction, are available for 6 months, and include a certificate of completion when finished. The courses incorporate visual imagery (photos associated with words and phrases for better retention), native speakers to hear proper pronunciation, language tips, intuitive reading exercises, and interactive assessments to measure your progress and comprehension, and cultural lessons.
