This is an entry level course that provides basic
safety and health knowledge for construction
personnel. Topics introduced are: General Safety &
Health Provisions, Personnel Protective Equipment,
and Fall Protection. (30 hours)

In order to meet the requirements of the U.S.
Department of Transportation Title 49 CFR, Sub
Part H, Sections 172.700-172.704, this training is
mandatory for employees involved in shipping and
receiving of hazardous materials and waste. This
course is required after 90 days of being hired

This course is a 8-hour refresher to the 40-hour
course. It is intended to be presented to workers
in the general industry and emphasis will be
on identification, prevention, and control of
workplace hazards.

The online Occupational Safety program provides students a thorough education in the growing field of safety and prepares them for entry level safety positions in a variety of industries. Our online program offers students an opportunity to receive a certificate in Occupational Safety or an Associates of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Occupational Safety.
