This course is designed to provide the basic knowledge
and skills necessary for a gun owner to safely handle
firearms. Exposes students to safety at home and on the
firing range, teach them the laws pertaining to the Use
of Force, and develop proficiency with their handguns
on the firing range.

Firearms fundamentals enhancement for the general
public. Prerequisite: Weapon and ammunition must be
furnished by the student

The course is designed for persons seeking employment
as a Commissioned (Armed) Security Officer within the
State of Texas. Includes all the training requirements set
forth by the Texas Department of Public Safety Private
Security Bureau for Level II and Level III for the Security
Officer Commission, which includes firearms training
and qualification.

Covers the objectives, preparations, procedures,
methods of crime scene search; crime scene sketches
and photographs; fingerprinting; identification;
collection and preservation of evidence; and specific
investigative issues.

Covers the nature, cause, and effects of child abuse;
authority and responsibility of the law enforcement
officer; categories, components, and characteristics of
child abuse and neglect; investigative strategies; and
special investigative issues.
