Are you or your employees prepared to handle injuries
that occur on the job? This course introduces adult
CPR and the basic principles of standard first aid. It will
be customized to address the types of injuries which
might occur in your workplace using the National Safety
Council Standards. The course can be taught at your
location or at EPCC. The National Safety Council First Aid
and CPR Textbook is included in the cost of the course

Properly applied first aid may mean the difference
between life and death. Emphasizes fundamental
principles and skills of standard first aid. Prerequisite:
Current CPR certification. Note: Books must be picked
up from either A240 at Rio Grande, or D128 at Mission
del Paso and read before the start of class. The textbook
should be brought to class. Cost of text is included in
tuition. CPR card should be brought to class.

The Heartsaver First Aid Online Part 1 has been updated to reflect new science in the 2010 American Heart Association Guidelines for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Emergency Cardiovascular Care, including the 2010 Guidelines for First Aid.
