The ESL program is focused on developing the student’s English language proficiency in the area of listening, speaking, reading, and writing. The ESL program covers grammar and the necessary tools to develop the ability to communicate in English, especially for work.

ESL Beginning Level I
The students will learn the basic skills and knowledge that enable them to speak effectively, basic vocabulary, rules of punctuation, cursive/manuscript handwriting and rules of capitalization .The student will demonstrate the ability to understand writing communication, choice of effective words, organize information, and understanding patterns and functions of language. This program will prepare an individual to develop English language skills in the areas of listening, speaking, reading and writing. Students will develop necessary skills to effectively communicate in the workplace. Upon completion, students with existing skills will be able to go into the workforce. Students without any skills will be prepared to go into a program in English that will prepare them to go into a professional occupation.
