This session discusses the importance of accurate recordkeeping
and maintaining good financial records. The steps in developing
a recordkeeping system are identified and the types of
recordkeeping systems are examined. The most essential records
that comprise an effective recordkeeping system are also covered,
including a basic introduction to computer and small business
applications.

The students will learn the skills and knowledge that enable them to perform any combination of the following: calculating, posting, and verifying duties to obtain financial data for use in maintaining accounting records. Students are trained in both administrative and office procedures The program will prepare the student for an entry-level position as a Bookkeeping or Accounting Clerk.
