Topics include real property concepts and characteristics, legal considerations, influences on real estate value, types of values, economic principles, overview of real estate markets and analysis, and how ethics apply in appraisal theory and practice

This is the course you need to take to enter the real estate profession. It is required for individuals wanting to take the North Carolina real estate license examination and obtain a real estate broker license. This course may be offered only by schools and instructors approved by the NC Real Estate Commission

This course introduces the study of real property law. Topics include the distinction between real and personal property, various estates, mechanics of conveyance and encumbrance, recordation, special proceedings, and other related topics. Upon completion, students should be able to identify estates, forms of deeds, requirements for recording, and procedures to enforce rights to real property.

The courses required for a successful career in venture capital and real estate are similar to those required in investment banking, except we also recommend getting hands on involvement with entrepreneurs, as provided in the Entrepreneurship course or the Mentored Study program. This sector has shown enormous growth in the last ten years with a significant number of students opting for this career.
