An applied technology course designed to prepare students to take necessary boiler-steam licensing exams
and prepare them to function effectively as multi-skilled power or process plant engineers, boiler operators
or heating plant operators. Students study the operation and maintenance of boilers and auxiliaries, and are
required to operate, service and maintain boiler and auxiliary equipment in a state-of-the-art cogeneration,
heating-power plant laboratory.

This course will introduce basic methodologies for dynamic analysis, control system design, system coordination, and optimization for renewable power sources such as fuel cell and photovoltaic systems, power electronics, and power systems.
