A network technician for home or small business is responsible for LANs (local area networks) connecting PCs, printers, scanners and servers to communicate with each other and the Internet via wireless or cable media. This 42.5 week program includes the PC Technology curriculum and provides training for help desk and computer support specialists, with emphasis on small office environments.

In this course, students will examine the fundamentals of networking technologies, including TCP/IP, wireless networking technologies, troubleshooting techniques and will explore different network components and protocols.
