Introduction to the fundamentals of lighting design and developing basic understanding of acoustical,
electrical, plumbing and climate control systems and their impact on environmental, energy and economic
issues. Emphasis is on the lighting design process, principles and theories, light sources, lamps and energy
conservation.

Henry Ford Community College’s Interior Design department provides students with an
