The use of CATIA V5 is increasing in the automotive and supplier industry. The certificate classes enable
designers, engineers, and students with previous CAD background to become knowledgeable and
proficient in this powerful and versatile software. The classes will take you through some of the most
commonly used Work Benches: Sketcher, Part, Drafting, Assembly, and Generative Shape Design
(surfacing).

CATIA V5 Computer Aided Design software as applied to solid part modeling. Emphasis is on the Sketcher and Part Design Workbenches. Topics include file management, sketching and constraining, part modeling and modification techniques, and specification tree diagnosis.

This course introduces the basic principles of constructing assemblies and creating drawings on CATIA V5 software Assembly Design and Drafting Workbenches. Topics include adding components and setting constraints within an assembly, analyzing constraints, drafting workbench essentials, and detailing fundamentals such as view creation, layout, and dimensioning.

The Product Development program is designed to provide the knowledge and skills required for entry-level positions in a variety of design environments. The program focuses on the development of both technical and professional proficiencies.
