Introduces student to taxation of business entities and transactions. Topics include taxation of property transactions, various tax issues that apply to different tax entities, tax administration and practice, and the taxation effects of formation, operation, and dissolution of corporations, partnerships, S corporations, trusts and estates.

The Graduate Tax Program is a one-year master’s degree program leading to the Master of Taxation (M.T.) degree. For students who have a law degree, a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Taxation is also available. The program is all tax, with class work based directly on the Internal Revenue Code and Treasury regulations. Forty-five quarter hours are required for the master’s degree (equivalent to 30 semester hours). Full-time students take three to four quarters to complete the program.
