The CCNA certification (Cisco Certified Network Associate) indicates a foundation in and apprentice knowledge of networking. CCNA certified professionals can install, configure, and operate LAN, WAN, and dial access services for small networks (100 nodes or fewer), including but not limited to use of these protocols: IP, IGRP, Serial, Frame Relay, IP RIP, VLANs, RIP, Ethernet, Access Lists.

The CCNA Security Certification training course demonstrates a general knowledge of the security of a Cisco network. This course focuses on the ability to install, monitor and troubleshoot Cisco security network devices, instruction on recognition and response to security threats, and training on security structure and technologies. CCNA Security Certification prepares individuals for jobs such as Network Security Specialist, Administrator and Support Engineer.
