This course covers the design and implementation of device drivers for the Linux operating system. Interfaces to the Linux kernel for writing a device driver, and debugging techniques are presented. Students will work on projects to write a device drivers.

Fundamentally, a device driver implements the interface between a piece of peripheral hardware and the application.
