Objectives

After completing this course the student should be able to:

Configure MGX 8830, 8850, and 8950 ATM PNNI switches from isolation into a network that supports ATM and Layer 3 (IP) services
Operate and monitor the MGX network once traffic is established

This describes Frame Relay, ATM, and MPLS, including their advantages and how they use virtual circuits. The rate at which ATM and Frame Relay support customer traffic, and how carriers police those rates, is presented. ATM’s specific QoS parameters, is also described.
