Lodging school training courses in Cleveland, OH (public, in-house or online)

Students will have on-site training at area lodging facilities and will learn to use front desk and other related software. Upon successfully completing the courses, students will be awarded a Rooms Division Certification of Specialization from the American Hotel and Motel Association. Students complete a field experience that provides the work experience needed to advance and the work experience needed for certification.

The Lodging-Tourism Management concentration prepares students for entry-level opportunities working in positions such as front office, sales, meeting & convention management, and rooms division. The concentration is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Programs in Hospitality Administration (ACPHA).

This course studies the lodging industry, its history, growth, development, and future direction. It covers front office procedures and interpersonal dynamics from reservations through the night audit. The course also examines career opportunities in lodging and resorts.
