Successful completion of the Paramedic Core Curriculum in addition to complementary General Education Courses enables the paramedic student to attain an AAS degree. Completion of the AAS degree can broaden the student’s marketability, as well as provide a strong basis for continued professional learning.

The Emergency Medical Provider (EMP) Program is designed for students seeking careers in emergency medicine or as a professional firefighter. This program provides students with the knowledge and skills required to function within the Emergency Medical Services System. Courses progress from EMT-Basic to EMT-Paramedic. All programs meet or exceed the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment requirements for certification eligibility.

All courses are designed for approximately 16 hours of instruction, are available for 6 months, and include a certificate of completion when finished. The courses incorporate visual imagery (photos associated with words and phrases for better retention), native speakers to hear proper pronunciation, language tips, intuitive reading exercises, and interactive assessments to measure your progress and comprehension, and cultural lessons.
