The Jewelry Design and Repair Course is comprised of 17 comprehensive lessons. They are easy to follow, yet challenging and stimulating at the same time. Each lesson begins with a subject matter preview and objectives, an introductory note from your instructor and a vocabulary builder of new words and terms.

Next comes the reading assignment. Practice exercises help you check and review what you’ve learned. At the end of the lesson is an open-book exam, which you may take online.

Students gain a limited edition, production and industrial manufacturing techniques, while expressing fashion jewelry concerns. The techniques covered include soldering, fabrication, stone setting, texturing, patination and casting. Students are encouraged to develop thematically related series.

This course offers students an environment to address and experiment with the problems and solutions in fabrication and construction. Students will work on independent projects and conduct critiques and discussions.

This course covers basic design and machining of jewelry items including:
�Design and editing of vectors, images and 3D models with embossing using wizards and
libraries
�Creating ring and pendant designs including Eternity and Signet designs
�Generating machining toolpaths for rings and pendants
