This one week (30 hours) course is designed to meet OSHA requirements by providing students with the necessary training to become a safe and effective Fork Lift Operator. Students will receive training in vehicle inspection, operation, maintenance and safe operations.

As required by 29 CFR 1910.178, operators of Powered Industrial Trucks must complete a specific program of training (including formal instruction, practical training and an evaluation of performance). This course assists in meeting training requirements by providing principles and procedures involved in the safe operation of these vehicles.

A classroom session lasting about 2 hours illustrates safe and efficient operation of an industrial lift truck and covers all topics required by OSHA Standard 29CFR1910.178. Following successful completion of a test, operators will be evaluated while driving the equipment they use while performing their routine work functions in their everyday work environment.
