This course provides instruction and experience in the use of web technologies to create, edit, and manage well-designed Web sites. Students will be introduced to both WYSIWYG software as well as hand-generated HTML and CSS.

In this course students explore the basic principles and elements of two-dimensional design techniques. Students learn to identify these elements in successful designs and also learn to use these elements to solve their own design problems.

Graphic design is a creative process fueled by creative thinking. Graphic designers put their creativity to work creating visuals to help communicate messages for their clients. The Certificate in Graphic Design is a non-degree course of study for anyone interested in learning design concepts, improving design skills, or exploring the rapidly changing area of design and computer graphics. The certificate offers both conceptual and technological training needed to pursue a career in the field and is suitable to returning students with or without college experience or art backgrounds. Traditional undergraduate degree-seeking students are not eligible for this program.
