Designed for individuals with little or no commercial truck driving experience. The 6 week program trains students for entry level employment as truck drivers. Olive-Harvey College, in partnership with the Illinois Department of Transportation, offers this 6-week program to prepare students to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License in the State of Illinois.

The Public Chauffeur Training Institute (PCTI) is a joint venture between Harold Washington College and the Department of Consumer Services. The PCTI program prepares prospective taxi and limousine drivers for the city’s licensing exams.

This is refresher training for students that already have a class A license but either have not used it within a year OR they have less than 1 year of documented driving experience. This program DOES NOT include a road test or permit fees because the student is required to already have a Class A license. The student MUST have a DOT physical and a drug screening to be permitted into a SAGE truck.
