This program provides students with the necessary foundation and practical experiences to pursue an entry-level position within the automotive industry. Entry-level positions may be found in automotive dealerships, automotive franchises, independent service repair shops, auto part stores, or through selfemployment. Upon completion of the program, the graduates may be able to seek employment opportunities as Automotive Technician Apprentices, Service Writers, or Auto Parts Personnel.

The TPAT 9-week elective can be added to your Automotive Technology core program. During that time, you’ll learn how to troubleshoot, repair and maintain electrical, suspension/steering, brake, transmission, climate control, engine control and hybrid systems.

The ITEP elective is a 6-week program that can be added to your core Automotive Technology or Diesel & Industrial Technology programs. In this elective you’ll work with diagnostic equipment, electronic systems and engines.

The FACT 15-week elective can be added to your Automotive Technology core program. During that time, you’ll learn how to troubleshoot, repair and maintain electronic, climate control, anti-lock brake, steering, suspension and ignition systems.
