In this workshop you will learn how to turn your yard waste into beneficial, economical organic mulch. Learn why composting is especially good for our growing zone; composting loosens clay soil, improves the soil’s fertility, retains moisture, provides nutritious food for your plants, and best of all is practically free to make! Note: Please dress to work in a garden type environment; class time is a combination of lecture and hands on composting.

This course designation is to be used for all non occupational program offerings that are self-supported. All recreational courses must be coded CSP4000. This course is a four hour module designed for the professional landscaper or caring homeowner. The course will teach participants how to reinvent the way traditional landscaping has been done. Most landscaping processes are anti-green, but this course provides tremendous insight into lawn care, weed control, fertilizer, and irrigation.
