Topics will include: critical path schedules, using project schedules to create short term goals, sorting, comparing actual progress to baseline schedules. The class will emphasize integrating inspections, deliveries, and submittals with the project schedule.

Learn to calculate quantities of material and labor for a variety of construction projects. The emphasis will be on building construction rather than civil or industrial projects. Topics will include: takeoff organization, formulas, production rates, and general conditions. This class may serve as an introduction to the Construction Estimating series.

Learn to setup and use basic surveying instruments. Students will measure angles and elevations using digital theodolites. A total station instrument will be used for electronic distance measuring in building layout. This is an introductory level class that will involve primarily hands-on practice in the field.
