Emergency Medical Services courses include: CPR, First Responder, EMT Basic and Refresher, EMT enhanced (Intermediate), and EMT Instructor. Completion of selected courses is designed to prepare students to take the National Registry Examination for EMT-Basic and the appropriate Nevada EMS certification examination for EMT Enhanced (Intermediate).

The Clinical Medical Assisting program at SJVC offers extensive back office training to provide support to physicians and direct patient care in a variety of medical settings. Training includes a balance of classroom instruction with laboratory experience to create the best opportunity for student understanding and performance. Graduates of this program are eligible to take the Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) and National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) exams for licensure.

SJVC’s Clinical and Administrative Medical Assisting (CAMA) program trains students in both administrative and clinical medical procedures for medical offices and specialty clinics.
