Techniques of water media will be demonstrated including wet into wet, dry brush, creating texture, glazing and collage. Techniques will then be applied to color and design theory information.

This is a theoretical and practical course examining the visual forces of color and color relationships in traditional and electronic media. This foundation-level class is essential to all design students. Students can develop knowledge of color principles and the ability to manipulate hue, value and chroma as well as sensitivity to aesthetic and psychological qualities.

This course covers theories and practical applications to understand the makeup of color and how best to use it. Areas covered include general color theory and psychology; effective color creation, perception, and management; color language; digital issues; and additive and subtractive systems and color output.
