Our ACA Certified instructors help you learn the lines through the whitewater and clue you in to the easy routes. If you prefer, a more challenging course you can practice surfing in the many class II rapids. You will have the opportunity to develop and practice some river reading skills along the way identifying eddielines and understanding stream flow dynamics. If you’ve never kayaked before or have limited experience, this beginner kayaking course is for you. The instruction begins with our specialized "Dry Land Schoolâ€? in which we focus on the basics. This includes; equipment identification and use, paddle strokes, safety, and hazards.

This course is your day. You can spend a day touring and climbing the cliffs of Wintergreen and the Blue Ridge challenging your upper limits while learning better movement on the rock, honing your seconding skills, or just brush-up on rusty leading skills.
