This is a hands-on laboratory that allows students to use and explore the nanoscale world with leading edge research equipment. It includes sample preparation of biological materials as well as training to use optical fluorescence, scanning, and transmission electron microscopes to examine the nanoscale world.

This course is an overview of biotechnology in modern drug discovery and development, with an emphasis on business aspects for student with undergraduate degrees in life sciences or business. This course provides science students with the tools and knowledge to embark on biotechnology career paths such as employment in investment, consulting, and legal firms, and non-research roles in biotechnology companies. (4 credits)

The Agile 9.3.1 Material and Equipment Management course teaches students how to work with Agile Recipe and Material Workspace (RMW), the Agile Pharmaceuticals user interface. The course also covers material management processes and equipment management processes. Students will learn how to allocate and dispense material, record material consumption and returns, reserve equipment, and create material and equipment objects.
