Jefferson State’s Art Department offers a variety of classes that can be used for our transfer students and also for a two year Associate Degree. Although many student take art classes just for personal enrichment.

In this Adobe Fireworks training class, students receive a comprehensive introduction to using Fireworks CS5 to design and create graphics.

Class Goals
•Learn to create and edit bitmaps with Fireworks
•Learn to use Fireworks’ vector tools
•Learn to work with multiple images in Fireworks
•Learn to add text to graphics in Fireworks
•Learn to optimize graphics in Fireworks

Figures can be drawn on papers, cardboards, plastics and canvases. Cartooning and expressing oneself publicly through graffiti are also part of drawing. Basic Working Drawings course is designed to prepare you for the various types of working drawings that are used in the industry and how they relate to the installation of fire alarm systems. For the exam, it is important for you to be able to read plans, diagrams and drawings. Other vital elements in this course are plan symbols, line weights and types. Finally, it covers computer aided drafting (CAD) and related terminology
