The Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) Program of Maine is a collaborative effort of the University of Maine at Augusta and the University of Maine at Presque Isle in cooperation with hospitals across the state that serve as clinical affiliates. The Clinical Medical Assisting program at SJVC offers extensive back office training to provide support to physicians and direct patient care in a variety of medical settings. Training includes a balance of classroom instruction with laboratory experience to create the best opportunity for student understanding and performance. Graduates of this program are eligible to take the Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) and National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) exams for licensure.
