Safety school training courses in Baltimore, MD (public, in-house or online)

Become familiar with safe job practices on a construction site, including appropriate personal protective equipment and hazard communication. Learn how to properly use personal protective equipment, the causes and results of accidents, how to recognize a jobsite hazard, proper lifting practices, Hazard Communication Standard, fire and electrical safety.

A certificate in Occupational Safety and Health will be awarded to students completing the pattern listed with a 2.0 GPA or higher. This program is designed for students preparing to enter the safety and health field and for those currently working in safety and occupational health who desire updating or cross training. It is also an option for students already possessing a higher-level degree.

The following fire Science Technology degree program courses are offered for college credit to Fire Department personnel in conjunction with Baltimore metropolitan area Fire Academies and the Maryland Fire and Rescue Institute (MFRI). Courses for city fire department employees are taught at the Baltimore City Fire Academy. Courses are also taught at other MFRIapproved locations throughout the State of Maryland.

The online Occupational Safety program provides students a thorough education in the growing field of safety and prepares them for entry level safety positions in a variety of industries. Our online program offers students an opportunity to receive a certificate in Occupational Safety or an Associates of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Occupational Safety.
