This degree pattern is designed to help students transfer to colleges and universities that offer a baccalaureate degree with a major in Physical Education. Beyond the General Education requirements and other degree, program, and elective requirements, this pattern should be considered in light of the requirements of the selected transfer institution. Students should consult with a transfer coordinator or an advisor for information about specific requirements.

The Health and Fitness Studies certificate prepares students for a professional career as either a personal trainer or a fitness specialist. Students learn how to conduct physical and health risk assessments, interpret assessment results, design exercise programs, provide fitness instruction and supervise fitness facilities.

This online course is an introduction of the anatomy and physiology systems of the human body. The structure and function of mammalian cells and tissues and human skeletal, muscular and nervous systems are discussed. The integration of the functions of the various systems is also emphasized.
