Students are introduced to the business of researching, marketing, packaging and distributing comics. Approaches to selling work to mainstream comics companies are emphasized, along with the business of independent publishing. Students may have the opportunity to participate in a comics publication.

This ILT Series course teaches the core features and functions of Publisher 2007.

Objective :
Students will learn how to create and edit publications, arrange text and pictures, work with master pages, and create and format tables. They will also learn how to flow text across text boxes, create a facing-pages layout, export publications to PDF, and prepare publications for commercial printing.

Starting with the basic concepts, architecture, and underlying standards of Oracle XML Publisher, this course will lead a student through a progress of exercises building their expertise. By the end of the course, the student should be able to create Oracle XML Publisher RTF templates and data templates.
