This course provides an opportunity for students to focus on developing conceptual footwear designs using a variety of material resources. It also provides an opportunity to work in an interdisciplinary environment with students from a range of majors.

Graduate students advance their knowledge of lighting for dramatic film and digital production by creatively working with light and shadow as visual storytellers. Students use the tools of the professional cinematographer to develop the skill for understanding and working with light in both a professional and an artistic environment.

MIDI is introduced and explored in the context of sound design and music production. Students learn the fundamentals of MIDI and associated technologies. Class projects allow students to create soundscapes, design effects and musical compositions.

Designed to prepare students for career opportunities that use sound production, this course teaches students how to use sound to enhance drama, commercials, news and other kinds of radio and commercial programming. Students will gain experience with the workflow and specialized tools associated with radio production.
