We start by exploring the nature of 3D space and graphics and the 3D animation workflow. Then we’ll create simple Maya models while learning the techniques of polygonal modeling.

Build simple 3D objects, type treatments, and package design mockups for print and web. Add lighting, and wrap artwork around objects for realistic rendering. Extrude, revolve, and rotate objects to create a variety of perspectives. Exercises in turning simple geometric paths into 3D objects are included. In addition, learn the advantages of using 3D graphics in print and web design. This class is suitable for those with little or no 3D experience.
